The government announced this Monday that, For the purposes of health controls, it will no longer require citizens to obtain interregional permits from the Virtual Police Station, which have been enabled since the end of September.
In this Monday’s televised report, the Undersecretary for Crime Prevention, Katherine Martorell, pointed out that the interregional permit “will not be necessary for the transfer between regions”, and “Only the COVID Passport will be required” for travelers.
He recalled, however, that travel between regions is only authorized for those who live and go to communes that are in Phase 3 or higher of the “Step by Step” Plan, and “does not apply to communes in Quarantine or Transition.”

Martorell confirmed that the communes of Isla de Maipo and Cabrero will advance to the Preparation phase starting this Thursday.
Meanwhile, Panguipulli, Quinchao and Curaco de Vélez they will regress to the Transition stage.

The Ministry of Health reported 1,440 new cases of Covid-19 in the country, reaching a total of 542,080 infections since the beginning of the pandemic.
