Manuel Pellegrini updated the status of Claudio Bravo’s injury during the press conference held prior to the Real Betis game against Getafe on Tuesday.
There he pointed out that Bravo is in no condition to play. “Unfortunately he had a knee strain before the game against Real Madrid that was not given importance, but the next day he woke up swollen,” began the DT.
“The player was not 100% sure of being able to act, the doctor evaluated him and did not consider that it was necessary to risk him,” he continued.
“I think that for Claudio, I cannot say it today, but it will be difficult for him to get to Saturday (against Valencia). I do not think he is for the Qualifiers with Chile, but it is an opinion that must be evaluated every 24 hours according to how he is evolving from his injury, ”Pellegrini closed.
La Roja’s first match is scheduled for Thursday, October 8, against Uruguay, while on October 13, it must be measured against Colombia.
