The Investigative Police carried out two raids in sectors of the Ercilla commune, in the La Araucanía region, and seized elements that would be linked to the arson attack that affected 13 trucks in Angol.

Through a court order, a property located in Temucuicui and another in Nupangue were searched, which ended with the discovery of firearms, bulletproof vests, a pickup truck, drugs and cash.

The regional head of the PDI, Domingo Silva, affirmed that it was work carried out by the Antinarcotics and Special Investigations brigades, which allowed the “One of the vehicles that participated in the attack”, which shows that “these proceedings are well under way regarding the location of the perpetrators.”

Silva added that there were no detainees and that the houses were unoccupied at the time of the procedure. “We understand that presumably they are houses that are used as safe houses, with the purpose of hiding drugs, money, weapons,” he said.
