The Chilean Investigative Police (PDI) assured that the woman who reported a multiple rape in Castro gave data that was not adjusted to reality, ruling out a multiple assault.
The events were reported to the Carabineros by an adult victim who claimed to have suffered the sexual assault, where a group of men would be the perpetrators who attacked her in the vicinity of Ten-Ten, a record that is being investigated by the PDI.
The Sex Crimes Brigade of the Civil Police, seeking to clarify the occurrence of the aggression, detected that the account lacked consistency in relation to the statements delivered by the woman in the first instance.
The subprefect of the PDI in Chiloé, Emilio massu, reported that in the first inquiries the woman’s statements were contrasted, reaching the striking conclusion.
The first account was related to the fact that the victim had taken a taxi to go to TenTen where, according to the woman, she was raped.
The spokeswoman for the Public Ministry in the Los Lagos Region, Carmen Barra, said that the camera records show that the woman was for hours and until moments prior to the complaint in a home located in the center of Castro.
There are still actions to be carried out since the woman must give her explanations to the Prosecutor’s officeConsidering that more than a dozen detectives had to travel to investigate the crime that had been reported.
