Patricio Frez, historic voice-over of Good morning everyone, dies

The well-known radio host and historic voice-over of the morning Good morning to all of TVN, Patricio Frez, died during this day as a result of cancer.

The news was confirmed this afternoon by his relatives and Radio Portales, where Frez collaborated in the last time.

The 64-year-old communicator was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer a year ago.

In one of his last interviews, the announcer said that his “liver was in a rather complex situation. The latest results indicate that there would be a short time survival. Between three to six months on average, ”he revealed to LUN in August.

A few months before, Frez also faced contagion by Covid-19, a disease that he managed to overcome despite his delicate state of health. He even resumed his job at the online radio Vive, where he served as director until his last days. “I am hopeful that I will be fine, but I do assume the responsibility that I am evicted, which means that there is no solution,” he said in the same interview.

Frez was the voiceover of the morning Good morning to all by around 20 years, which he left in 2011 to dedicate himself to his work as an evangelical pastor.

From the public channel they expressed regret for his departure. “At TVN we deeply regret the sensitive death of Patricio Frez, whom we remember with great affection, since he was the historical announcer and voice-over of our morning Good morning to all for more than 20 years. He was a great communications professional who delivered with commitment and passion in his work on our channel. On behalf of the entire TVN family, we send our sincere feelings of affection and condolences to his family and loved ones, ”the station said in a statement.

In parallel Frez had a recognized career in radio stations such as Cooperativa, Chilena and Pudahuel. In recent years he also dedicated himself to teaching, taking classes at the University of the Americas.
