A new outbreak of covid-19 was generated in the Bío Bío Region as a result of a party in a private house in the municipality of Laja.
After the corresponding inquiries by the health authority, a positive for coronavirus was confirmed among those attending the aforementioned party, according to Radio Bío Bío.
Given this, the Seremi de Salud of the Eighth Region announced that they will file a complaint, since in this case the curfew was violated and social distancing was not respected.
“We give the responsibility to the people of the self-care, however that is not happening and we are seeing it reflected in the numbers of today with this increase,” Cristóbal Vidal, delegate of the Seremi de Salud, began by saying.
“In a commune we have an important outbreak secondary to a party that took place in a private house. Point out that in this particular case we are going to file a complaint with the Prosecutor’s Office,” he added.
According to the latest report, the municipality of Laja registered seven new cases, bringing the total number to 24.
