The Minister of Health Henry Paris referred to the request made by the Supreme Court in the framework of the criminal investigation for the alleged misinformation of numbers of deaths from Covid-19.

It should be noted that the northern regional tax center, Xavier Armendariz requested access to the Minsal emails, however, the portfolio itself allegedly denied the Prosecutor’s Office access to the former minister’s e-mails Jaime Mañalich, of his then chief of staff, Itziar Linazasoro, and the current Undersecretary of Public Health, Paula Daza.

The head of Health explained that they are willing to cooperate, but that, nevertheless, the required information compromises national security.

“The information required compromises national security since it includes very sensitive negotiations, for example: the purchase of mechanical fans, transportation routes for these equipments“, assured Paris.

The Minister of Health also added that “if a record of records is requested clinics or patients, this also contravenes the law of rights and duties of the patient“.

“We are willing to collaborate, the Supreme Court has set within 72 hours for a response, if necessary you can request an extension“, closed the head of Health.
