Situation of the Metropolitan Region

Regarding the situation in the Metropolitan region, the Undersecretary of Health, Paula Daza, specified that despite the setback applied to the entire area, new infections continue to increase.

He specified that in the last week new cases have risen by 10% and that the positivity at the country level remains at 5%.

“We understand that people at this stage are tired, that it has been a very difficult year,” Daza explained, however, he called on citizens to continue with health measures, since it is the only thing “that allows us to contain the pandemic.” .

Finally, the authority reiterated its concern for the Magallanes, Los Ríos and Biobío regions.
