One person dies after confrontation with knives in Santiago Centro
The victim died after being stabbed at least twice by a 36-year-old man who turned himself in to the police.
During hours this morning a man died in the commune of Santiago after starring in a strong confrontation with knives for reasons that are still under investigation.
As reported by Investigation police, the deceased would have arrived at the home of the perpetrator, on Sazié Street, around eleven in the morning this Friday, where they began an intense discussion.
Both were armed with knives, and it is being investigated if one was under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The victim received at least two stab wounds and neighbors found him lying on the public highway with injuries to his chest.
The same neighbors informed Carabinieri of the fact and they called SAMU, who confirmed the death of the man.
For his part, the author of the crime, a 36-year-old man, turned himself in to the police and the PDI Homicide Squad is currently investigating his involvement in the events.
Commissioner Marcelo Navarro of the PDI’s Metropolitan Homicide Brigade pointed out that the man died “almost instantly.” Further, detailed that the author of the crime would maintain a record of theft and that tomorrow he would go to detention control.
The identity of the deceased has yet to be confirmed.
