Policeman John Spartan (Sylvester Stallone) and dangerous killer Simon Phoenix (Wesley Snipes) were jailed and frozen, in a new form of punishment, after starring in various incidents in the American city of Los Angeles.
Several years later, in the middle of 2032, the criminal regains his freedom and commits all kinds of crimes again in what is now called San Angeles, for which Spartan is also released, so that he again seeks to arrest Phoenix, this time accompanied by a young officer (Sandra Bullock).
