“This, in order to prevent, once again, the rights of children and adolescents, including that of their incident participation, from being relegated from the country’s vision and discussion, and hoping that their rights are on the part of all who have expressed interest in this piece of the campaign, a central theme of their work and action, “he added.
In said letter, the Ombudsman’s Office stated that “this piece was not constructed as a call to violence, but rather to highlight the urgent need to commit ourselves as a country to breaking down the countless obstacles and barriers that children and adolescents living in Chile face to effectively exercise their rights. For this reason, the diversion of attention by adults to other issues and interests, different from those that the Ombudsman for Children seeks to promote, is regrettable, generating a climate of polarization in their respect. that we do not want it to be maintained and directly affect the children and adolescents themselves “.
