This Sunday the Ministry of Health released a new balance of the health crisis in the country, reportedo 6,836 new cases of covid-19.
In this new report, in addition to according to the data reported by the Ministry of Health, this Sunday is counted 37,958 active cases of the disease. These are 651 more than those that marked the maximum on June 21, when 37,307 contagious agents were registered.
With this, the highest number of the pandemic was recorded, since the current counting method is used, which collects active cases for 11 days from the beginning of the manifestation of symptoms.
Thus, the five regions with the highest number of assets are the Metropolitan region 12,125, followed by Bío Bío with 5,326, then Valparaíso with 3,644, La Araucanía with 2,568 and Maule 2,441.
Minister Enrique Paris said that at the country level the increase in cases was 36% in the same period.
Regarding deaths, according to the information provided by the Department of Health Statistics and Information (DEIS), in the last 24 hours 99 deaths were registered for causes associated with covid-19. The total number of deaths is 22,279 in the country.
On the other hand, the high number of infections is maintained in the Metropolitan region (2,315), Bío Bío (901) and Valparaíso (693).
