The latest version of Netflix for Android comes with a new “audio only” function, which will allow you to enjoy the content of the platform as if it were a kind of podcast.
As reported by Android Police, by activating this function we will only listen to the audio of a series, film or documentary.

This will help reduce mobile data consumption as downloading audio is less than downloading real-time video.
In that sense, the function could be especially useful with documentaries or stand-up comedy specials.
Users who already have this feature will be able to see a button on the player that will allow them to disable the video.
Similarly, the option can be entered in the Netflix settings. In this way, it is possible to establish whether the audio only function is always active or deactivated, or whether it is activated only when the headphones are worn.
