Led by its young figures Jayson tatum (25 points) and Jaylen brown (26), Boston Celts defeated on Saturday 117-106 the Miami Heat and cut the deficit to 2-1 in the NBA Eastern conference final.
After being unhinged and internally arguing in Thursday’s loss, this win gives Boston a break by avoiding a 3-0 deficit that no team has overcome in history.
The Celtics, who recovered Gordon Hayward, this time overcame the seasoned Heat on the Disney World court (Orlando) and dominated the scoreboard from the beginning to the final stretch, in which they managed to seal the victory despite a last acceleration of the Heat.
Tatum (25 points, 14 rebounds and 8 assists) and Brown (26 points, 3 steals and 1 block) led the way for the Celtics, in which the point guards also stood out. Kemba walker (21 points and 4 triples) and Marcus Smart (20 points and 6 assists).
In the Heat the pivot shone Bam adebayo (27 points, 16 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 blocks) and the rookie guard Tyler herro (22 points and 4 triples), while his figure Jimmy Butler he had a low-key night with 17 points and 8 rebounds.
Both teams will now have a longer break than usual until Game 4, which will be held on Wednesday at Disney World.
The final of the Western conference, meanwhile, will resume on Sunday between the Denver nuggets and Los angeles lakers, who have a 1-0 lead.
