The Chilean Navy confirmed tonight that a “naval server” was arrested during the incidents recorded this Sunday afternoon in Santiago, within the framework of the first anniversary of the social outbreak.
“A member of the institution was detained by Carabineros personnel after participating in public disorders, during the demonstrations that took place today in the capital, “said the naval branch of the Armed Forces in a statement.

The newspaper Third asserted that the arrest of the Navy official occurred in the midst of riots on the outskirts of the San Francisco de Borja church, Carabineros institutional temple, which was later burned by hooded men.
