A multiple arson attack was registered during this morning to houses located in the commune of Contulmo, on the shores of Lanalhue Lake in the Biobío Region.
The event occurred before 8:45 this morning, as confirmed by the Intendancy of the eighth region, who indicated that the attack affected five houses in total, four of which were completely destroyed.
The governor of the province of Arauco, Óscar Muñoz, pointed out that the fires were caused by “antisocials” who intimidated and threatened one of the families who were inside their home, which was “removed from the place to later consume the fire”.

In addition, it indicated that – almost simultaneously – another arson attack was carried out against a forestry task in the Piedra del Águila sector, in Cañete, and another in the Lebu commune where a large number of forestry machinery was affected. .
The authority stated that “As a government we want to regret and condemn these events. The government has working groups, holds roundtables, however we continue to see these crimes that cause so much pain and violence with innocent people ”.
