A mosaic in homage to the writer Pedro Lemebel, in the Santiago Centro district, was vandalized by two individuals at the point of hammer blows.

A vitalized video on social networks shows the moment when the two subjects, in broad daylight, destroy the work located at the intersection of Nathaniel Cox with Tarapacá.

The work in homage to the author of “Tengo Miedo Torero”, whose film adaptation recently had a successful virtual premiere, was built by the Musa Mosaico collective.

The councilor of Santiago Irací Hassler shared on her Twitter the before and after the mosaic in tribute to the writer, plastic artist and a reference to sexual dissidence.

As reported by T13, Santiago Mayor Felipe Alessandri announced a “commitment” to recover the mosaic. In addition, the communal chief said that the images of the security cameras of the place were delivered to the Prosecutor’s Office.
