More than 50 thousand people came to the Los Ríos region to observe the Sun eclipse. During the day a party was recorded in the middle of a public thoroughfare of Coñaripe, where many of the attendees did not use masks.
After the security plan deployed by the Carabineros, with the support of Health personnel, the Army, the Navy and the Investigative Police, Mayor César Asenjo affirmed that the astronomical event went smoothly and with a large presence of tourists.
He also indicated that more than 50 thousand people came to the area from other parts of the country, reporting controls to more than 10 thousand vehicles, 800 must be returned for not having the respective health permits or the conditions of the step-by-step plan.
However, during Sunday night there was a party in the middle of a public road in the town of Coñaripe, in Panguipulli, which was viralized through social networks because the participants did not have a mask.
The head of the Fourteenth Carabineros Zone, General Claudio Valencia, confirmed the fact, indicating that when the police personnel arrived there were no longer people in the place.
About this fact, Radio Bío Bío consulted the Seremi de Salud in the area, not informing for the moment the initiation of possible health investigations.
