This Sunday Monserrat Alvarez had some problems when giving the exact number of Chileans eligible to vote in the Plebiscite.

When the journalist wanted to give the precise number (14,796,197 Chileans), she had to make several attempts as she “got tangled up” when reading the figure, causing the laughter of her co-worker, Julio César Rodríguez.

“This is the official figure: fourteen miñe… million…”, he began by noting, after which he indicated: “sorry, again… 14 million 796 thousand 197 are Chileans authorized to vote… I’m going to repeat it ”.

“They are not inviting you to the Telethon, it seems,” Julio César jokingly responded, after which Álvarez tried again but with no success.

“It was because I didn’t see it”, the communicator excused herself before her partner’s laughter.

Let us remember that in these historic elections the citizens will determine if they agree to start a constituent process to generate a new Constitution.
