The national artist, Mon Laferte, referred to the health crisis affecting the world due to the coronavirus and told details of her new single.

In a conversation with La Cuarta from Mexico, where she has been living for more than a decade, Mon Laferte told how she passes the days of confinement, assuring that the confinement forced her to lower the revolutions, because years ago she did not take a break.

“When the quarantine just started, I made a lot of demands on myself, I thought ‘I have to compose, I have to do this, the other thing.’

When asked if the artists spend composing during the quarantine, Laferte was emphatic in responding. “I don’t know, it depends on each one. We have all experienced this with different processes. In my case, I relaxed,” he said.

Along these same lines, the Chilean singer-songwriter revealed that her best means of escape is painting, and that it is something she always does. “Now in the running of the bulls I have dedicated myself to painting, but my house, to making it beautiful. I wanted to give myself that time to be in my refuge,” he said.

Although he is far from Chile, Monserrat Bustamante maintains ties to his country of origin because his family continues to live here. “I have been able to speak with mine, they have not been released from quarantine, they are taking the safeguards. But I am aware that there are people who cannot stop, who must continue working,” he said.

Regarding the information that the schools could be reopened, Mon Laferte seems to disagree. “I have heard and read that information, it is terrible that the children return to classes,” he said.

New single

A few days ago the singer released a new single called “Biutiful”, which already has more than a million views on YouTube. “I wanted to give a cool message, I wanted my song to become a mantra. The lyrics are very simple, but it has to do with something super intimate, self-love,” he revealed.
