This Monday, Mon Laferte uploaded to her official account a couple of photographs that show her with a very striking look, these are old images that she calls “Selenizada” and “Real Chola Forever 1998”. But it was not those photos that caused a stir, but one that the singer released 24 hours before.

The reason? The Chilean artist based in Mexico shows the legend “Bidi bidi bom bom” and, next to her face, you can see an underarm without waxing. This generated a wave of comments, several of them critical.

“Just to show the hairy armpits, since it is fashionable”, “You are bored Mon, you are missing concerts”, “The half guns” and “Depilate”, were some of the messages that users left.

With the 3.2 million followers that the singer has on Instagram, it is unlikely that the images she publishes go unnoticed on social networks, but the image achieved a whopping 215,000 likes.

The controversy within the controversy

Among the comments, Laferte received positive phrases. But it was a word that generated a little controversy: “Chula”, written by the Mexican artist Carmen Ruiz. Without knowing that in that country that term is positive, Chilean fans of Mon Laferte were upset by its use. But the “drama” ended as soon as the use of the word to say “beautiful” became clear.
