The highest number of cases so far had been on April 25 and 28 with 552 cases, although at that time the asymptomatic patients were not added. Yesterday, the first day when the asymptomatic patients began to be counted, the number rose to 770 infected.

With this, the total number of coronavirus cases in the country amounts to 16,023.

For her part, Undersecretary Daza explained that 8,580 people have recovered from the diseaseIn other words, 63% of the total number of people confirmed with coronavirus.

In addition to this, he detailed, there are 7,216 active cases, 45% of the total confirmed cases.

The undersecretary also mourned the death of 11 people due to the coronavirus: 6 from the Metropolitan Region, 3 from the La Araucanía region, 1 from Los Lagos and 1 from Antofagasta.

With this, a total of 227 people have died in the country.

With regard to hospitalized patients, the undersecretary of Healthcare Networks Arturo Zúñiga, detailed that there are currently 419 hospitalized for coronavirus, of these, 323 are under mechanical ventilation. Furthermore, there are 69 critically ill patients.

Regarding testing, there are 7,898 PCR tests performed, for a total of 180,517.
