A total of 1,684 new coronavirus infections have been reported in the last 24 hours in the country. This was reported in the new daily report of the Ministry of Health published this morning on its website. Of this number, 1,185 correspond to symptomatic cases, 449 to asymptomatic and 50 to unreported cases.
With this, according to the report, there is a total of 462,991 cases accumulated to date, of which 13,661 correspond to active cases, that is, people who are in a stage where they can spread the virus to others. On the other hand, 436,589 correspond to the recovered cases.
At the regional level, MRI continues to register the highest number of infections with 466 cases, followed by Araucanía (179), Magallanes (169) and Biobío (133).
As for the tests, The laboratories reported that in the last 24 hours 27,509 examinations were performed, with which a positivity of 6.12% was achieved, thus registering an increase for the second day.

With regard to deaths, there were 16 registered deaths according to the Department of Health Statistics and Information (Deis), thus reaching a total of 12,741 deaths from Covid in the country.
As for the patients, there are 850 hospitalized in intensive care units due to Covid-19, of which, 630 are on mechanical ventilation and 116 are in critical condition.
According to the national report there are 457 mechanical fans available in the country.
