This Sunday, the Ministry of Health made a new balance on the situation of COVID-19 in our country. In the instance, the Undersecretary of Public Health, Paula Daza, reported that During the last day, 1,966 new cases were reported, of which 1,277 were symptomatic. Thus, the total number of infected in our country reached 409,974 people, of which 16,146 remain with the active virus.
Also, 63 new deceased persons were reported, thus reaching a total of 11,244.
Along with this, the Minister of Health, Enrique Paris, reported new phases of quarantine, transition and preparation for various communes in the country.
Starting next September 2 at 5 in the morning, the communes of Los Andes, San Felipe, San José de Maipo, Providencia, Las Condes, Ñuñoa and Vitacura will go to preparation, while Rengo will enter into transition while Santa Cruz, – Chillan Viejo, Chillan and Hualqui will be in quarantine.
On the other hand, the health authority reported that also from the next few days, those over 75 will be released from mandatory quarantine, allowing them to have greater and free movement nationwide, with the exception of the communes that remain with mandatory confinement, places where the two-hour walk will continue to apply on Monday, Thursday and Saturday.
