Parliamentarians of Chile Vamos supported the words of the Minister of the Interior, Victor Perez, after stating that the president’s legacy Sebastian Piñera was to have taken an institutional path to solve the country’s conflicts, in reference to the social outbreak which is close to its first anniversary.

I believe that this is a relevant contribution when there was a very minority sector that wanted to transform the country through violence and many democratic sectors remained silent before them. Staying firm in that situation has an important democratic value, ”Pérez told La Tercera.

While the senator and president of the Socialist Party, Álvaro Elizalde, said that Minister Pérez’s words are extremely serious and that the constituent process is the legacy of citizenship.
