According to the minister, Pfizer estimates that it will be able to supply 50 million doses by the end of this year and 1.3 billion doses by the end of 2021, “therefore, we are quite happy, especially since we have an agreement signed with Pfizer to access this vaccine, “he said.

Paris stated that “As the vaccine must be approved by the FDA first, then as our ISP has category 4, it can accept the approval of other agencies of the same category to apply the vaccine in Chile and it would not be necessary to do new tests in Chile to approve the vaccine “.

Piñera hopes to “start the vaccination process” in the “first months” of 2021

The President Sebastián Piñera announced that the country is in a place of “privilege and opportune” facing the process to have a vaccine against the coronavirus COVID-19, indicating that “We hope to start our vaccination program in the first months of next year.”
