What computer do I need to play Microsoft Flight Simulator?
One of the big questions (in addition to the exact launch date) has already been answered. And it is that Microsoft has wanted to remove us from doubts so that we can get an idea of what Specifications We will need exactly to be able to play with total freedom and to choose with tranquility in which airport of the world we want to land (because yes, they will be all of the world).
! We are excited to announce PC specs for the next iteration of Microsoft Flight Simulator! ✈️
Explore details here: https: //t.co/hr1HLrNPvE– Microsoft Flight Simulator (@MSFSofficial) April 21, 2020
The company has cataloged the configurations into three categories: minimal, recommended, and ideal. As you can imagine, the minimum will be enough to play, although it possibly limits many aspects of the number of elements on the screen, so you will have to take into account several factors that could determine the gaming experience (not to mention the graphics).
The minimum requirements will be the following:
- Windows 10 (Update 1909, November 2019)
- Ryzen 3 1200 / Intel i5-4460 processor
- Radeon RX 570 / NVIDIA GTX 770 graphics
- 2 GB VRAM
- 8 GB of RAM
- 150 GB of storage
- 5 Mbps of bandwidth
The recommended requirements are:
- Windows 10 (Update 1909, November 2019)
- Ryzen 5 1500X / Intel i5-8400 processor
- Radeon RX 590 / NVIDIA GTX 970 graphics
- 4 GB VRAM
- 16 GB of RAM
- 150 GB of storage
- 20 Mbps of bandwidth
And the ideal requirements to play would be:
- Windows 10 (Update 1909, November 2019)
- Ryzen 7 Pro 2700X / Intel i7-9800 processor
- Radeon VII / NVIDIA RTX 2080 Graphics
- 4 GB VRAM
- 32 GB of RAM
- 150 GB of storage
- 50 Mbps of bandwidth
Lots of hard drive space
As you can see, the game requires an incredible amount of 150 GB of free disk space, so the installation will be quite extensive. What did you expect taking into account the number of satellite images that we are going to be able to enjoy? It remains to be seen what the supposed version will be like that will arrive on Xbox One later, a version that will also need at least 150 GB of disk space and that we will see if its launch does not end up moving to Xbox Series X.
Only the date remains
After seeing so many details of its development, the possibilities it will offer, and the technical level it hides in relation to servers and game optimization, now the only thing we have left to know is the exact release date of this jewel of the airborne. At the moment Microsoft remains very cautious, and for now is limited to sharing advances related to technology and improvements that are being included in the alpha versions that are already being released.
We therefore have to continue waiting until that supposed “summer of 2020”, although taking into account the logistical complications that we are suffering with the Coronavirus, we hope that the company does not suffer any delay in completing the game before its launch. Do you already feel like flying around the world? We hope at least that you meet the requirements.
