As of 5 am today, Monday, the 52 communes of the Metropolitan Region are without quarantine, a situation that had not occurred in the RM since March 26, when the dynamic confinements began in the capital.

Last Saturday, Renca and Paine went to phase 2 of Transition. They were the last two communes in the RM in quarantine, but because it was a weekend they were still in confinement, as happens with all communes at that stage.

This means that as of today, 8,125,072 people, the population of the Metropolitan Region, will be able to leave their homes at least from Monday to Friday without the need for a permit from the Virtual Police Station.

In addition, this Monday in the RM the communes of Huechuraba, Quinta Normal, María Pinto, Curacaví, Colina, El Bosque, Recoleta, Cerrillos advanced to phase 3 of Preparation. To these is added Tocopilla in the Antofagasta Region.

– Mandatory use of a mask.

– Physical distancing.

– Social and recreational gatherings are allowed with a maximum of 10 people in open spaces and 5 in closed spaces.

– Customs and sanitary cords.

– Prohibition of transfer to second home.

Regarding commerce, small businesses and SMEs run by their own owners can open from Monday to Friday, respecting the protocols and the curfew.

They cannot open businesses that are run by people who live in a commune that is in quarantine, because they cannot move to a commune in transition.
