The works in the stations involved the reconstruction of 1,300 square meters in San José de la Estrella, and 1,200 square meters of surface in Los Quillayes and Elisa Corres, respectively, with repair of accesses, ticket offices, technical and operational areas and administrative rooms.
Regarding the operation of the station, elevators will not be operational yet.
“With these three new stations that we will put into service again, we are nearing the end of a reconstruction process that has been long and labor-intensive. From the beginning the Metro workers have had a clear objective, and great motivation, to be able to give them back to the neighbors their stations “, affirmed the president of Metro, Louis de Grange.
Also, with this reopening, Metro will have 134 of the 136 stations in its network enabled, missing only Trinity, in Florida, and Child Protector, in Puente Alto, both also on Line 4.
This is in addition to enabling 100 percent of the Metro Line 5 this week, after the last stations destroyed during October’s “social outburst” reopened.
With these reopening, Metro will have 134 of a total of 136 stations rehabilitated, that is, it will have 99% of its network available, leaving only Trinidad to open in the commune of La Florida and Protectora de la Infancia in the commune of Puente Alto 🚇 pic.twitter.com/LoiJFhWOl2
