The Santiago Metro reported the closure of four stations on Line 5 as a result of incidents that began this afternoon in the surroundings of the Monumental Stadium, starring a group identified with Colo Colo, within the framework of the “albo” team’s duel against Deportes La Serena, and which later advanced to other nearby points.

At 6:16 p.m., the state company reported on its Twitter account that the station Pedrero “It is closed and without train stops due to disturbances abroad.”

Later, for the same reasons, the stations were closed San Joaquín, Mirador and Camino Agrícola.

Carabineros anti-riot agents used tear gas to disperse the fans outside the Monumental Stadium prior to kick-off.

The match was momentarily interrupted at minute 3 of the first half by the launch of tear gas canisters. This, because the members of both teams and the refereeing body that was on the field began to feel the effects of the gases.
