Immediate reactions generated the decision of the Government of not apply the “Fondéate en tu casa” program in quarantined communes, prohibiting restricted mobility for family gatherings during National Holidays. While the Seremi de Salud del Bío Bío, Héctor Muñoz, recalled that the measure was observed negatively at the central level, mayors stressed that common sense and good sense prevail.
There were 72 hours of cross statements between the mayor of Bío Bío, Sergio Giacaman, and the ministers Enrique Paris and Jaime Bellolio, time in which the questions of the plan the mayors, the scientific and medical community of the region joined, in addition to the business community.
One of the first to react to the government’s announcement was the Minister of Health, Héctor Muñoz, who from the beginning supported the mayor and that is why his opinion to Minister Enrique Paris that the relaxation of quarantines in the area did not correspond.
The first to reject mobility permits during National Holidays were the mayors, even before the mayor of Bío Bío, and in that sense, after learning about the Minsal’s decision, the communal head of Concepción, DC Álvaro Ortiz, stressed that common sense prevailed in Santiago.

The deputy RN Andrés Celis, valued the Government’s decision and assured that with this “the voice of Valparaíso, Viña del Mar and other communes of the country was heard, where we must not stop taking care of ourselves to leave this state soon.”
I value decision of @ministerioshealth to exclude quarantined communes from special transitory permission for September 18, 19 and 20. The voice of Valparaíso, Viña del Mar and other communes in the country was heard, where we must not stop taking care of ourselves to leave this state soon.
