Despite the victory against Unión Española, things are not going well in Colo Colo. They remain last and the crisis continues. Before the duel against the Hispanics, the rstatement by Marcelo Espina, who was a sports manager of the club since mid-2018.
The former captain of the albos pointed to the leaks of economic amounts as the main factor in his departure from Macul, according to the letter published by radio Biobío.

I’m here.
Along with saying hello, and hereby, I come to present my resignation from the position of Sports Manager of Club Colo Colo, for the reasons that I am going to explain:
1. From the moment I assumed the task entrusted by the Blanco y Negro board of directors, in order to work within Colo Colo, I have done it with all the dedication and energy possible and always hoping for the best for the institution.
2. The sayings released by different media, (in particular that published by the newspaper El Mercurio on December 11, 2020) that the economic issue would be the cause for which I have not disassociated myself, pointing out that this would be the obstacle to end my employment contract, it is absolutely false. On three occasions I pointed out to the President, Don Aníbal Mosa, that if he considered him well, he could leave office, which he refused.
3. I certainly assume the responsibility that falls to me in relation to the sporting situation of the Club. I have never evaded responsibilities in my life. This will not be the moment. I led Colo Colo on the field, being its captain, in the periods that the bankruptcy had been decreed. I took on that responsibility, and we moved on.
4. What I will not assume are responsibilities for events outside my role. I have never meddled in the economic issues of the Board of Directors, in relation to payment to players, which did not happen in this year 2020.
5. Within this context, I feel that I do not have the tranquility and confidence to be able to continue with the work entrusted, since it is indicated as a source of the publication of the newspaper El Mercurio yesterday apart from the Directory.
Therefore, and thanking in advance the possibility of having worked again in the largest sports institution in Chile, I come to present my indeclinable resignation from the position.
