The coach of Real Betis, the Chilean Manuel Pellegrini, believes that his team is “on the right track” despite the defeat suffered this Saturday against Real Madrid, assuring that they were “superior in the first half”, while “the second was more even, but with one less, is not evaluable “and also charged against the decisions of the VAR.
Pellegrini regretted the expulsion of his right-hand side Emerson Royal Y the penalty that the party decided “with VAR decisions”, an extreme on which he considered that “everything together is too much.”
DT also specified that his compatriot, goalkeeper Claudio Bravo, “had a knee problem in the last training session” that prevented him from playing.
The Verdiblanco coach said that, although he had not yet “seen the plays, it seems that Borja Mayoral is offside before the penalty” that condemned his team, but stressed that “they are actions that decide.”
The Chilean considered that “It is difficult” to face “some decisions, today justice fell to Madrid”, but he preferred to stay “with what was done by Real Betis until they competed eleven against eleven”.
“Even Benzema is offside on the 2-2 play,” said Pellegrini, who complained that although he “likes VAR, he always plays against it.”
