The perpetrator of the crime of repeated rape committed to a minor, between the years 2015 to June 2017, in the commune of Santiago was sentenced to twelve years in prison. The man agreed to pay for these events with the girl’s mother.

This trial corresponded to a new one that had to be carried out against the accused, since on the first, on the second day of the trial, the defendant fled and remained at large for a year and a half, being arrested last February.

In this new trial, the Central North prosecutor, Mariela Cid, was able to prove that the events were committed in various departments of a building located in the aforementioned commune.

Agreed violations

With the investigation carried out together with a team from the Brisexme PDI, it was established that after an economic agreement with the mother of the victim – also convicted of these events – the defendant LSH (aged 49) repeatedly raped the minor who he was 12 years old.

In her closing statement, the prosecutor Cid highlighted the forcefulness of the evidence presented before the Oral Court, especially, the statement of the victim, who related what happened in detail, a version that she has maintained since the complaint made in 2017.

Along with serving the 12-year sentence of effective imprisonment, the accused must serve the penalty of being subjected to the supervision of the authority for the following ten years, after serving the main sentence.

In the oral trial against the victim’s mother, in October 2018, the Prosecutor’s Office was convicted of the crimes of facilitating prostitution and rape of a minor under 14 years of age.
