Los Angeles Lakers showed power and favorite poster by beating for 116-98 to Miami Heat in the first game of the NBA Finals series.
The Californian quintet, led by the offensive of Anthony Davis and the leadership of Lebron James, was vastly superior in the first three quarters, reaching more than 20 points ahead of Florida. (31-28, 34-20, 28-19, 23-31).
The main scorer of the game was Davis, with 34 points in total, while LeBron was on the verge of a triple-double, with 25 touchdowns, 13 rebounds and nine assists.
On the losers side, the star Jimmy Butler couldn’t make a difference, playing injured from the second quarter. He only scored 23 points.
In the last quarter, and with great advantage on the board, the Lakers relaxed and allowed Miami to have a break, closing the gap on a scoreboard, which despite the 18-point difference in favor of the Lakers, does not do justice to the dominance of the victors.
The second game of the final between Miami Heat and Los Angeles Lakers is scheduled for this Friday, at 10:00 p.m. (01:00 GMT).
