After the Government’s announcement to apply a total quarantine for Greater Santiago and six other communes in the Metropolitan Region have been registered long lines in different supermarkets.
After informing the strict measure that will take effect from this Friday at 22:00, people have decided to go “en masse” to shopping malls to stock up.
The phenomenon has also been recorded in the city of Iquique, who will also enter mandatory confinement this Friday.
The authorities’ call is to do not generate crowds since supermarkets will remain open during quarantine.
