The deputy from Evópoli, Sebastian Keitel, entered into controversy with his peer Erika olivera (independent pro RN), after the ex-marathoner treated him as a “little man” during a session of the Chamber’s Sports committee.
“Deputy Olivera disrespected me in the Sports Commission, making personal disqualifications with name and surname, treating me as ‘little man’, not once, but twice “Keitel denounced in Sala this Wednesday.
“The qualifier used by Deputy Olivera is not only pejorative against me, but it is also discriminatory, because unfortunately its connotation in popular language has been used to insult a minority in our country,” added the Evópoli legislator.
The controversy originated on Tuesday, when Keitel voted against the project to name sports venues in honor of great athletes and later withdrew from the Sports Commission, which caused Olivera annoyance.
After this, the deputy annoyed by Keitel’s withdrawal said that “It seems like a little man to say that a project is populistAlthough I’m used to it, not only him, but people from politics call me that way but it seems to me little man who has retired, because I would have liked to answer him through this same platform ”.
Finally, Keitel asked that Olivera be referred to the Chamber’s Ethics Committee and said that with his sayings more than 30 years of friendship were broken.
“I have known Congresswoman Olivera for more than 30 years, together we shared the same dream for decades to take our country to the top of the national sport. The values and the Olympic spirit of friendship, respect, loyalty and companionship are unfortunately lost with this type of comment. 30 years of friendship are ending ”.
