The so-called Star of Arauco (Guñelve), a traditional Mapuche symbol, was also projected in the place with blue lights.
The intervention was recorded and broadcast live on Galería Cima’s YouTube channel.
It was a demonstration similar to those carried out by the Delight Lab art collective, known for its interventions in the Telefónica tower building.

Their experimentation focuses on light as a tool for spatial and social intervention, through the application of videomapping on architecture and landscape. Their interventions have highlighted sensitive issues such as hunger and the treatment of indigenous peoples, ”says the program.
After 8:40 p.m., a police patrol arrived at the roundabout and arranged a spotlight in the direction of the lights to avoid the projection.
According to reports from the uniformed police, the projections were made sporadically from a building in Vicuña Mackenna by five individuals. Upon verifying the police presence, when uniformed officers arrived to verify the procedure, those responsible turned off the lights.
