At the age of 90, the legendary and remembered Scottish actor died this Saturday Sean Connery, winner of an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards, and three Golden Globe Awards.
According to information provided by the BBC, Connery’s death was confirmed by his family a few hours ago.
Within the actor’s long career, his seven performances as James Bond in the Agent 007 saga stand out.
In 2009, the actor himself had indicated in an interview that he had been diagnosed with a heart condition. However, so far no details of the cause of his death are known.
He was born Thomas Sean Connery in 1930, the son of a truck driver and a cleaner. He lived through poverty as a child and dropped out of school at age 13.
After that he entered the Navy of his country, with the idea of carrying out a seven-year service. However, he retired when he had turned 19.
