The mayor of Las Condes and presidential candidate of the ruling party, Joaquin Lavin, made a harsh criticism through their social networks when revealing that one of the assailants of the Mosso jewelry store – who left a PDI agent seriously injured – records more sentences than years of life.
Let us remember that yesterday, a group of approximately 10 individuals entered the Alto Las Condes mall armed, where they tried without success to break into the jewelry store. The action was thwarted by the watchmen of the shopping center and by two civil police officers who were in the compound, leaving one of them, Commissioner Víctor Hurtado Martínez, shot in the skull.
He also left a single detainee, for the time being.

Lavín criticized that a person like Galaz, despite having an abundant police record and being repeatedly sentenced for successive crimes, continues to be free.
“These ‘etcetera’ are already a custom, and that increases fear. They are terrible moments for hundreds of people, or a person, or a family, or for someone we care about. In Las Condes, Citizen Security detains many criminals with more than 30 records. We have reached 91, 94 police records, “he said.
“So, how do you help the families of yesterday – before – if, in addition to the anguish they suffered, they are reported that the criminal who affected them so much has 3 robberies with intimidation, robbery with violence, in an inhabited place, not inhabited … And that they, it seems, are another ‘etc’ ”, he added.
The presidential candidate added a final question about these data: “And another question that arises immediately and always (unfortunately): When will Jairo Galaz be released again, and who will be the next victims?”.
It should be noted that yesterday, the Undersecretary for Crime Prevention, Katherine Martorell, came to Mall Alto Las Condes to obtain more details of the violent assault, informing that Víctor Hurtado remains serious, but out of life risk.
