This Wednesday at dawn a historic milestone was written by fire in Argentina. The Senate approved the legalization of abortion, and it has brought repercussions throughout the region.

As in Brazil, for example, where its president Jair Bolsonaro, argued that “I deeply regret the lives of Argentine children,” who would be “Now subject to being snatched from the womb of their mothers with the consent of the State.

He also assured that “to the extent that it depends on me and my Government, abortion will never be approved on our soil.”

In Paraguay they ask for a minute of silence

On the other hand, the Chamber of Deputies of Paraguay, requested a minute of silence for the approval of the interruption of pregnancy in Argentina.

“A minute of silence for the thousands of lives of Argentine brothers who are not going to be born.”

The person in charge of conducting this discussion was the parliamentarian Raúl Latorre, representative of the ANR-Capital political party, who criticized the legislation that was approved after 12 hours of discussion in his neighboring country.
