Sports La Serena drew 1-1 against O’Higgins at the La Portada Stadium in the brand new return of Humberto “Chupete” Suazo to First Division, after four years of his departure from Colo Colo.
Both casts remained at the bottom of the standings, with five points, tying the score at Coquimbo Unido and University of Concepción, registering just one win in nine games.
The “garnets” started in a great way, with a very active Suazo, who in the first minute had the possibility to open the account with a shot that crossed the small “light blue” area.
The options of the Serenenses were fading as the initial stage progressed and the visit took over the process, noting the first goal of the match in the 34 ‘, thanks to a good shot from Facundo Castro.
In the complement came the tie of the “papayeros” and it was with an unapproachable shot from Jaime “Pajarito” Valdés, who once again showed his great quality in the 53 ‘, leaving the final equality.
Now, La Serena will have to think about his next duel against Audax Italiano, to be played next Thursday, while O’Higgins has Colo Colo on the horizon, one day before.
