The Chilean flyer Claudio Baeza Necaxa’s match against Toluca was lost on Friday night, for the Mexican Apertura Tournament that ended with a 3-2 victory for the ‘Rayos’, when testing positive for COVID-19.

According to ESPN Chile, the former Colo Colo tested positive in his PCR test and missed the match where the national attacker Juan Delgado was present for those from Aguascalientes.

A news that leaves Baeza in doubt for La Roja’s matches in November for the Qatar 2020 World Cup Qualifiers, against Peru and Venezuela, since he must comply with a period of isolation.

The defensive midfielder was a starter on the last double date, against Uruguay and Colombia, due to the absence of Erick Pulgar, also due to Covid-19, and he fulfilled a correct mission.

It should be noted that due to a similar case, the right-back Mauricio Isla could not join Reinaldo Rueda’s team for the crossing with La Celeste, in Montevideo.
