Following a trial that began on November 3, the former mayor of Antofagasta Karen Rojo was declared guilty of the crime of tax fraud.
He Oral Criminal Court of Antofagasta dictated this Thursday conviction verdict against the former communal chief and the former executive secretary of the Municipal Corporation Edgardo Vergara, both for the crime of tax fraud.

Karen Rojo was suspended from her post as mayor in July, amid the so-called “Main case” investigation. He November 19 she herself announced her resignation, after eight years at the head of the municipality.
