The deputy of National renewal, Jorge Duran Espinoza, plunged into the head of the group’s bench, Sebastian Torrealba, whom he accuses of vetoing it and denying him the option to vote in the committee where the second AFP withdrawal of funds is debated.
It all started because the deputy RN, Camila Flores, appointed Durán to replace her on Thursday in the Chamber’s Constitution Commission.
The replacement was not to the taste of Torrealba, who in his capacity as head of the bank decided not to authorize Durán to vote for the commission, deciding in detriment to send Leopoldo Pérez.
In this context, Durán engaged in a discussion in the corridors of Congress, to later issue a public statement in which he claimed to feel discriminated against and pointed out that “Sebastián Torrealba has been the worst Bank Chief we have ever had, he does not respect his militants.”
In dialogue with him Could be Worse of Radio Bío Bío, Durán deepened his criticism of Torrealba and remarked that he was “denied the right to vote today in the Constitution Commission.”
“When Deputy Torrealba found out that he was going to replace Deputy Camila Flores, did everything possible so that I could not participate with the right to vote. He looked for parliamentarians who were willing to go as long as I didn’t go, ”he said.
“I rebuked him and told him how he did this, if it was the will of the deputy head of the commission who had entrusted me to participate in said vote,” added Durán, accusing that Torrealba replied that as head of the bench he decided.
“All this comes because I have been one of the main promoters of this second retirement, I am co-author of the life annuity project with the deputy Pamela Jiles and because I have publicly stated that this second retreat must be universal and without fine print, without obstacles, without figures, without complicating the second retreat ”, he reviewed.
Likewise, the disaffected parliamentarian continued to criticize the way in which the head of the RN bench is handled: “He thinks he is a patron of the estate, he thinks he owns the bench and wants us all to do what he wants”.
Without going any further, he questioned his continuity in the bench of deputies of the National Renovation.
“I am evaluating whether I am still on the bench or not, or at least freeze my participation within the bench until this man leaves said headquarters”, an obfuscated deputy Durán also maintained.
Finally, he questioned the legitimacy of Torrealba in that position, ensuring that no one voted for him to be in that place.
“Nobody chose him. He got there by luck, because the person we had chosen is Congressman Paulsen, and the deputy Paulsen when assuming the presidency (of the Chamber) he (Torrealba) rises as head of the bench, but he did not even participate in a democratic election ”, he sentenced.
