Galindo contacts children through social networks through messages, audios, videos and video calls, where initially they are challenged to not very complex tests such as waking up in the middle of the night or watching a horror movie.
Eventually, Galindo’s challenges escalate to more extreme situations such as asking players harm themselves or even endanger their life, like standing on the edge of the roof of a building. As we already said, the final test is to kill oneself.
Concern for Jonathan Galindo began last June, when the civil police of Santa Catarina, in Brazil, called on parents to pay more attention to the content that their children see on the Internet, emphasizing this viral character.
The first records of Jonathan Galindo date from a Facebook profile in 2017. At that time, various youtubers began to tell stories behind the character.
Some claimed that it was a porn actor named Dusky Sam, others that he was a psychopath who terrorized children, others that he was a person with a disfigured face who liked to harass women and was even said that he was a kidnapper of minors.
So far it is unknown who is behind the so-called “Human Goofy”, the only certainty is that it is quite reminiscent of the challenge of the “Blue Whale” that terrorized parents a few years ago.
Recall that this challenge challenged children, among other things, to wake up at dawn to watch horror videos, cut their arm with a knife or approach the edge of a cliff. In this, the last test also consisted of jumping from a balcony looking for death.
