During the Covid-19 pandemic, there has been an increase in some crimes, such as door slamming and locking. This Friday, the Investigative Police reported that it disrupted a gang dedicated to these actions.

12 people were arrested in the framework of Operation Clone, one of them is soccer player Jason Silva. “The investigation determined that the high-end vehicles were sold to subjects dedicated to their cloning and subsequent commercialization. In addition, this gang used the money obtained to buy firearms and drugs”reported the PDI.

According to Radio ADN, Commissioner Katherine González confirmed that the victims were able to recognize the members of the criminal organization, which facilitated the result of the investigation. It was also added that the 29-year-old flyer was formalized by reception and was left with total house arrest.

It should be remembered that the footballer was arrested twice by the Carabineros last year in Puente Alto. First for driving with a forged driver’s license and months later he was formalized for forgery of a public instrument, since he presented a false driving license (the original was expired) when he was subjected to a vehicle control.

Silva was back in the country after ending his tie with Santa Rita, Ecuador’s Serie B team. Among the other shirts that he defended throughout his career are those of Palestino, Colo Colo, Deportes Antofagasta, Unión La Calera and San Marcos, as well as Apollon Limassol of Cyprus.
