A group of Nine deputies from Chile Vamos signed a letter requesting the elimination of the project tax for the second withdrawal of 10% of AFP funds and that it was presented by the Government. Or, failing that, the parliamentarians ask to modify the table that would oblige members who have a salary of $ 700,000 to pay taxes.

The letter was signed by Sandra Amar (Ind), Álvaro Carter (Ind), Virginia Troncoso (Ind), Nora Cuevas (UDI), Andrés Celis (RN), Erika Olivera (Ind), Eduardo Durán (RN), Tomás Fuentes (RN) and Rolando Renteria (UDI).

In the letter, the deputies affirm that if the text remains as it comes from the Senate Chamber, they will vote against it, considering it “a mockery for the Chileans who need it most.”

“It is not understanding anything and lacking an evident common sense about the reality that is being lived in Chile”, adds the letter that was signed by nine deputies.

Delete or modify

In the letter, the signatory deputies request the elimination of the tax or modify between “those who are between the first and fourth tranche of the second category tax, which, without any doubt, They are not millionaires but rather they are Chileans who earn a salary that allows them to barely make ends meet to give their families a good quality of life “.

“If the State wants to raise more money, it is in its legitimate right to do so, but using other mechanisms such as more land taxes for example, to summer houses in high-income areas or raising taxes on those who have more and who clearly do not earn $ 700 thousand a month, “they say.

The second withdrawal project of 10% of the Government will be voted this Tuesday in the Labor Commission of the Lower House, where the item imposed and forced withholding for food debtors will be key.
