The Ministry of Public Works published the call for bids for the new Buin-Paine Hospital. The enclosure will have 200 beds and will benefit nearly 200,000 people from the south of the Metropolitan Region.
The Undersecretary of Assistance Networks, Arturo Zúñiga, appreciated the announcement during the daily report of the situation of the covid-19 in Chile. “The Hospital de San Luis de Buin-Paine in the new structure will have 200 beds, that is, double the number it currently has.”
“(It will be) a totally modern hospital, with the new standards that are required and, obviously, incorporates new specialties such as peripheral vascular surgery and twelve new beds in the intermediate treatment unit for the southern area of the Metropolitan Region, where 200 thousand people who will benefit from this new infrastructure, “he added.
Zúñiga stressed that despite the main efforts of the Ministry of Health are focused on facing the coronavirus pandemic, the Government has not neglected its 2018-2020 Investment Plan.
“As a Government and with the help of the Ministry of Public Works, with the help of the Ministry of Social Development, we continue to work on the Investment Plan designed by President Sebastián Piñera to achieve compliance with the hospital renovation that our country needs,” said Zúñiga. .
The estimated official budget for the work amounts to 2,944,034 Development Units (UF).
