During the delivery of daily Covid-19 figures, the Minister of Health, Enrique Paris, reported this Monday that about 20 health officials who received the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine had “adverse effects.”
He Institute of Public Health (ISP) provided more information on the matter and reported that as of this morning 21 notifications were reported of —what is called— Events Supposedly Attributed to Vaccination or Immunization (ESAVI).
Of the total, two were classified as serious, not being serious, because they required hospitalization.
“The most frequent symptoms reported, including headache, fatigue, injection site pain, itching, rash, are reactions considered not serious“They pointed out from the ISP.

Minister Paris explained the “progressive vaccination” and assured that they expect “80% of the vaccinated population in the second semester”
In addition, it was emphasized that “people are being monitored and the cases are being monitored, to be evaluated and thus be able to confirm or rule out relationship to inoculation“.
Of the 21 notifications, 20 correspond to the Metropolitan Region and one to the Biobío. Meanwhile, 19 of the cases are women and two are men.
